These blocks are supported by the docbook_to_hdoc converter:

  • article

  • section

  • sect1, sect2, sect3, sect4, sect5, sect6 which are converted to sections

  • title

  • info ( title, subtitle, author, authorgroup, pubdate )

  • tag

  • example

  • mediaobject ( only imageobjects )

  • para

  • emphasis

  • link

  • itemizedlist (listitem)

  • table (tgroup, tbody, row, entry)

  • phrase

  • entry

  • variablelist (varlistentry, term)

  • quote

  • menuchoice: guimenu, guimenuitem

  • guilabel

  • guibutton

  • command

  • qandaset

  • figure: <p> block which contans the title, then is the image.

  • citetitle are converted to "sub"

  • programlisting are converted to quoted contents ("q")

  • code are converted to quoted contents ("q")

  • computeroutput to quoted contents ("q")

  • procedure (step) are converted to lists (ul li)

  • application are converted to links

The following blocks are supported but it loose its signification because there is no equivalent to it in hdoc:

  • guimenu, guimenuitem, guilabel and guibutton are converted to emphasized blocks.

  • filename, uri, replaceable, literal, alt, screen and acronym are replaced by nothing, only the content is copied

  • tag in a paragraph is put in a span, but nothing identifies that it is a tag.

  • thead in tables are implemented as the first line of the hdoc tables (but there are no "th" in hdoc).

  • footnote are directly included in the block which contains them (we loose the signification)

When a section has no title, a default title is put in the hdoc file ("untitled section")

Unsupported

The mediaobjects which are not imageobjects are not supported by the converter.
